Heritage and the Building of Europe:
In the prolonged public discussion on the European constitution, and in the ongoing negotiations between governments, parliaments, public institutions, and academia, background information on why and to what end cultural heritage is so vitally important is an aspect that has not been much developed. This book provides necessary arguments and intends to promote a Europe-wide discussion. It is a joint project of Europa Nostra and Kulturstiftung Haus Europa, a Berlin-based cultural policy think tank.
