Art for Tomorrow 2024

The Art for Tomorrow conference of 2024 will be held from 5 June at 17:30 (CEST) to 7 June 2024, at the Palazzo Diedo, in Venice, Italy. This annual event is organised by the Democracy and Culture Foundation.

This year, the conference will focus on the theme “Imperfect Beauty,” and will try to consider the complex problems that beauty can bring, such as:

  • How can cities and cultural sites celebrate their heritage without becoming victims of their own success through overtourism?
  • How can museums and monuments protect themselves from the inevitable impact of the climate crisis?
  • How should institutions and artists think about and reflect the concerns of their changing populations?
  • How can the arts help bridge cultural and even political divides?

This Art conference brings together a wide range of international leaders and decision makers within the arts sector, to explore the most pressing issues now and in the future. The event will be divided into panel sessions, conferences, and conversations. On 6 and 7 June, participants will also be able to attend Cultural Tours from 16:00 to 18:00.

Registration to attend the conference in Venice is compulsory, and available on the event website.
Prices are: €2000 for an in-person ticket and donation to the Democracy and Culture Foundation, €1200 for an in-person ticket, and €600 for a reduced price ticket for NGOs, Youth & Academics.

The Democracy and Culture Foundation

Founded in 2019, the Democracy and Culture Foundation aims to empower society through citizen engagement and better governance by galvanising citizens and leaders as well as bridging the gap between citizens and experts. The foundation is becoming a leading global platform for the evolution of democracy, civil society, and the media, and for the role of culture as an expression of freedom and individuality in a society where democracy flourishes. Since its creation, the foundation has been organising Art for Tomorrow and the Athens Democracy Forum every year, conceived a few years earlier by The New York Times.
