FRH 5th Biennial Conference in Vicenza, Italy

Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) is delighted to announce its fifth biennial international conference from 9th to 11th of November 2016 in Vicenza, Italy.

During the conference, pilgrimage in both its traditional and modern sense will be discussed. It will be an outstanding chance to explore the historic and modern meaning of pilgrimage and what role it plays in today’s communities, tourism and the landscape of religious heritage in Europe.

As such, it will likewise serve as exemplification of how to involve and engage people in religious heritage. Over 2,5 days, the conference will bring keynote addresses, dedicated sessions and participative discussion forums by practitioners and experts from different areas.

FRH is also proud to announce the key note speech by Prof. David Freedberg who is best known for his work on psychological responses to art and his studies on iconoclasm and censorship, and Mr. Stefano Dominioni, Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes.
